Butterfly Preschool welcomes speculative applications from qualified childcare professionals with excellent English and experience working with children aged 1–6.
About the role
As an English-speaking member of our team, you would help children build confidence in English through play, stories, songs and everyday conversations, making the language a natural and enjoyable part of their day.
The role combines English language development with all aspects of everyday childcare. Alongside your colleagues, you would take an active part in daily care routines, indoor and outdoor activities, and creating a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and grow.
We value colleagues who build trusting relationships with children, respond sensitively to their needs and offer calm, consistent support. You should be comfortable taking initiative, sharing responsibility and working closely with others.
Essential requirements
- A completed Swedish childcare qualification (Barn- och fritidsprogrammet på gymnasiet eller en yrkesutbildning inom barnomsorg från Komvux).
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to use clear, natural and age-appropriate language with young children.
- At least one year of experience working with children aged 1–5.
- A caring, patient and responsible approach to working with children.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and families.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts within the preschool’s opening hours.
